Mecklenburg County voters will have multiple options for voting ahead of the November 5, 2024, Presidential Election. Virginia offers three distinct ways in which all eligible voters can choose to vote.
Early Voting In-Person
Any qualified registered Mecklenburg County voter can vote early in the General Registrar’s Office. Early voting begins on Friday, September 20, 2024 and will end on Saturday, November 2, 2024. The Mecklenburg County General Registrar’s Office will be open Monday - Friday; from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM to accommodate any voters who wish to vote early. Additionally, the General Registrar’s Office will be open on Saturday, October 26, 2024 and Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM for Early Voting. Saturday November 2, 2024 will be the last day to early vote.
Absentee Voting By-Mail
Any registered voter may submit an application to receive an absentee ballot through the mail. We will begin mailing ballots prior to September 20, 2024. To request an Absentee Ballot By-Mail apply online at https://vote.elections.virginia.gov, you may also contact the General Registrar’s Office to request an application. October 25, 2024 is the last day to request an Absentee Ballot By-Mail.
Election Day Voting
In-person voting will continue to be available at all regular polling locations in Mecklenburg County on November 5, 2024. Precincts will open at 6:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM. if you are in line at 7:00 PM, you will be able to vote. Do NOT get out of line if you are in line to vote at 7:00 PM.
