Election Calendar
There have been three polling place relocations in Mecklenburg County. We have moved the following polling places, also there is a link to a map below if you need directions from your old polling location to your new location. Lastly we have mailed a voter card to all effected voters. These were mailed out on April 29, 2025. 

103 - Clarksville Life Saving Station moved to Clarksville Elementary School
703 - Butler Memorial Library moved to the Estes Community Center Banquet Room

Mecklenburg County voters will have multiple options for voting ahead of the June 17 2025, Democratic Party Primary. Virginia offers three distinct ways in which all eligible voters can choose to vote. 

Early Voting In-Person
Any qualified registered Mecklenburg County voter can vote early in the General Registrar’s Office. Early voting begins on Friday, May 2, 2025 and will end on Saturday, June 14, 2025. The Mecklenburg County General Registrar’s Office will be open Monday - Friday; from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM to accommodate any voters who wish to vote early. Additionally, the General Registrar’s Office will be open on Saturday, June 7, 2025 and Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM for Early Voting. Saturday November 2, 2025 will be the last day to early vote. 

Absentee Voting By-Mail
Any registered voter may submit an application to receive an absentee ballot through the mail. We will begin mailing ballots prior to May 2, 2025. To request an Absentee Ballot By-Mail apply online at https://vote.elections.virginia.gov, you may also contact the General Registrar’s Office to request an application. June 6, 2025 is the last day to request an Absentee Ballot By-Mail. 

Election Day Voting
In-person voting will continue to be available at all regular polling locations in Mecklenburg County on June 17, 2025. Precincts will open at 6:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM. if you are in line at 7:00 PM, you will be able to vote. Do NOT get out of line if you are in line to vote at 7:00 PM.

  • Being uniform in our practices for all elections
  • Providing easy and readily available access to registration and casting of votes within election laws and guidelines
  • Protecting the integrity of the electoral process and efficiently conduct all elections under the provisions of Title 24.2 of the Code of Virginia
  • Implementing the National Voter Registration Act
  • Providing on-site registration opportunities to high school students and naturalized citizens
  • Encouraging all eligible residents to exercise their right to vote
  • Maintaining accurate voter registration records
  • Conducting elections in a fair, accurate and efficient manner
  • Maintaining a continuous professional level of service to the public
